The new mines permitted in BC will create over 2000 new jobs, with some of these mining project anticipating over 20-year lifespans. The BC mining industry produced $6.3 billion in commodities in 2016. That includes $700 million in gold, $2.1 billion in copper and $300 million in construction aggregates.
