Powered by a Tier 4 Final Scania diesel engine, the HA30 uses a five-cylinder, 9.3-liter DC 9 turbocharged diesel, producing 375 hp (276 kW) and 1,876 Nm of torque. The power generation engines from Scania are based on a robust design with a strength-optimized cylinder block containing wet cylinder liners, which can easily be exchanged to promote reparability and fuel economy.

Unique design of rear frame, body, and front-mounted differential and transmission make the Hyundai HA30 one of the most compact ADT in its class, which results in smallest turning radius and outstanding stability.

The HA30 and HA45's tilting cab allows easy access to the transmission and hydraulic components.
